EYFS Work

Though we have provided a timetable and lots of work, we cannot express the importance of taking the time to play with your child, when you are able to. Dress up together, do a jigsaw, play a board game, throw and catch a ball, make a den together and read all the story books you have.

To encourage independence, ask them to get dressed and undressed on their own and cut up their own food with a knife and fork at mealtimes. Let them help you with the cooking. Talk about everything that you do and why you are doing it. Explore the meaning of new words. Colour together, hold hands and jump in the puddles when it rains.

Try and enjoy any extra time that you may have with your child - they will be all grown up before you know it.
